Charitable Contributions

The Alger Candlelight Giving Program is run by an employee-supported committee proudly serving numerous charities and non-profit organizations through donations and active volunteering. In addition to creating volunteer opportunities for our employees across all types of organizations, the Committee also works in partnership with organizations that are consistent with our DEI goals. Recent examples include the Ali Forney Center and the AHRC NYC Foundation.

Continuous Learning

We actively seek to understand and address unconscious bias, and we embrace ongoing learning and development opportunities to build a more inclusive culture. Alger employees are required to attend and complete annual Diversity Awareness Training to enhance their knowledge. To fulfill this responsibility, the Firm provides employee training, which covers topics such as DEI, Unconscious Bias, Micro-Aggressions in the Workplace, and Harassment and Discrimination Prevention, among others. Each year, the Alger Human Resources Department evaluates our program to ensure effectiveness and makes adjustments to provide employees with the most impactful training.
